1. Gameplay/ Schedule
1a. This is a 3v3 League. Max six players per team. Three players from each team are allowed to play at one time.
1b. Games are played half court.
1c. The half Court line is out of bounds, as well as all side lines.
1d. In the event of a boundary dispute, redo. In the event of a second dispute, jump ball. 1e. Team Captains shoot for ball, alternating shots. If the first captain makes his shot the second has a chance to match. Shots are taken from the center three point line.
1f. A schedule will be released before the season. In the event that at least 3 of your players can’t make it you are eligible to play with 2 or forfeit. (Also see rule 4d.)
1g. If both teams are a no show it is considered a tie. If one team is a no show it is considered a forfeit.
1h. Each team has 1 timeout 60 seconds long. This timeout may not be taken with less the 3 minutes on the running clock. Timeouts DO NOT stop the running clock.
1i. A substitution may be made only in the event of a dead ball.
2. Change of possession
2a. During each change of possession the ball must be brought back behind the three point line.
2b. In the event of a team scoring without returning the ball to the three point line after a change of possession, it is considered a no basket, and a redo for the scoring team. The possession remains the same. If this occurs a second time, it is considered a turnover and possession changes.
2c. After a made basket the opposite team gains possession.
2d. Jump ball goes to the team that did not start with the ball, then alternates accordingly.
2e. When inbounding the ball after a made basket, the player inbounding must inbound from the middle of the three point line. The inbounder must pass before dribbling or shooting.
2f. If the inbounder doesn’t pass before dribbling or shooting, the first time it is considered a redo with no basket. No change of possession. The second time it is considered a turnover.
2g. Overtime is Running Clock 5 minutes. No timeouts.
3. Scoring
3a. Made field goals inside of the 3 three point line count as 1 point.
3b. Made field goals behind the three point line count as 2 points.
3c. Each game is played to 25 pts. or 25 minutes. Whichever comes first.
3d. Dead at 25. No win by two.
3e. We ask both teams to assign one of your bench players to help keep score so there is no dispute. Scores must be reported at the end of each game to the ICCBL committee.
4. Eligibility
4a. Each team must be made up of attending members of said church.
4b. Players must be at least 12yr old to play. Both Male and Female players are allowed.
4c. Each team is allowed 6 players per team. Once registration is over you may not add anyone else to your team.
4d. In the event of not having enough capable players (less than 3) the pastor of your church becomes eligible.
4e. Each church is allowed multiple teams. 4f. In the event of a free agent signing up from the same church as a church with an established team. He/she will be assigned to said church team if the team is not already full.
4g. Any player receiving season awards must play in at least 7 regular season games.
4h. Players must play in at least two regular season weeks to be eligible to play in the playoffs. (Excluding in season Injuries)
5. Fouling
5a. For regular season games we ask you play fair and call your own fouls. There are no referees during regular season games. What’s the point of winning if you had to cheat?
5b. During the championship Saturday games there will be a referee.
5c. Fouls under 1 minute stop the clock and are awarded 1 foul shot.
6. Playoffs
6a. The top 3 teams will be seeded automatically in a sudden death final 4 playoffs.
6b. The lower teams will also be placed in a sudden death play-in bracket with the winner being seeded as the bottom seed in the final 4 championship tournament.
6c. Seeding will be decided by team record. Tie breakers are:
1. Head to Head
2. Total Points scored in a season.
3. Total Points scored Head to Head.
4. Rock Paper Scissors. Best of 3
6d. Only 6 players are allowed to suit up as eligible players for the playoffs.
6e. Playoffs will have the same scoring and time structure as the regular season.
6f. Any Foul under 1:00 minute of play stops the clock and the Fouled Team receives 1 Foul shot. (This is the only clock stoppage in any game)
6g. In order to keep clock from being drained under 5:00 minutes An offensive player is not allowed to dribble with his back or side to the basket while being actively guarded by an opponent for more then 5 seconds.
6h. Overtime is 5 minutes. Same time and scoring structure. If tied at the end of 5 minutes the Game turns off the clock and plays till one team has 2 more points then the other. (Win by 2) Dead at 30
